Here are the details of our protest against mandatory vaccination (for more details on this issue see further down this page):
The Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) have taken over the control of the UK vaccination schedule and now have the power to bring in new vaccines without government approval even if they haven't been safety tested. Prior to this, all new vaccines would have to pass through parliament and be voted on before they were introduced. Now the government is compelled to agree with anything JCVI say, even if there is no science to back it up.
JCVI are also exploring whether to get a 'guardian of the state' for all unvaccinated children and sue their parents to FORCE them to vaccinate - this means that vegetarians will be forced to take animal products via vaccines, people will be forced to be injected with cancer-causing chemicals and those people who have already had vaccine reactions and disabilities will have their lives put at risk.
They write in their meeting minutes:
'What exactly ‘right’ meant [under the new NHS constitution] with respect to the right of a child to receive a vaccine when their parents were opposed to vaccination and

Those on the committee are also on the boards of the drug companies who make vaccines and so are profiting from their recommendations.
To safeguard our right to choose the healthcare for ourselves and our children, Vaccination Awareness Network, the advocacy group for parents who don't vaccinate, will be protesting against mandatory vaccination and conflict of interest.
If you are a parent who doesn't vaccinate, if you would like to choose which vaccines you have, if you or a loved one are vaccine injured, please come along and show your support opposite the House of Lords, Old Palace Yard, Westminster at 12 noon on Saturday 3rd October 2009.
What you will need:
A banner or poster
Some change for Veggies food
Waterproof coats in case it rains - there is NO undercover shelter
Some people are wearing T shirts with anti swine flu vaccine or other health freedom slogans on them, myself included
Some people have suggested coming dressed as rabbits because the vaccine has not undergone clinical trials (we are the trial) - so fancy dress is permitted and might even be nice for the little ones
Please NO loudspeakers, sound surround systems or big TV's and DO NOT attach anything to the garden unless it can be removed afterwards.
NO alcohol, NO VIOLENCE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES - remember, there are babies, toddlers, pregnant mothers and disabled people who will be present.
There is no parking on site but there is a car park nearby called Abingdon car park where you can park your car and we will have a steward or two to help you find your way.
We will also have a trained first aider on site in case of a medical need.
Babies and children are welcome.
If you are attending the Arnica Parents social meeting in St. James park after the protest, then please PUT YOUR BANNERS AWAY prior to entering the park, and take off any protest T shirts because if you don't, you will be classed as protesting on the Queen's property and no protests are allowed in any of the Royal parks. There will be FINES if you don't comply.
You don't have to be a member of Arnica to attend. It's just a chance for lots of like-minded parents to meet and for their children to play in the park.

My Letter Against Mandatory Vaccination To Health Minister Dimitris Avramopoulos, Greece
This is not a perfect translation and I am sure there are mistakes as I needed the computer to help me. I only speak a little bit of Greek but here's what I wrote to the minister:
Αγαπητέ Κύριε
Είμαι ένα δεύτερο ελληνικό. Ο πατέρας μου ήταν τόσο ελληνικές Σας γράφω αυτή την επιστολή για να αντιταχθεί στην υποχρεωτική εμβολιασμό όλων των Ελλήνων πολιτών.
Το νέο εμβόλιο H1N1 δεν έχει δοκιμαστεί ακόμα και την ασφάλεια που περιέχει υδράργυρο που έχει απαγορευτεί από την παιδική ηλικία εμβολιασμού στις ΗΠΑ και του Ηνωμένου Βασιλείου για λόγους ασφαλείας. Σύμφωνα με αυτό το NHS εγγράφου:

English version of what it is supposed to say:
Dear Sir
I am half Greek. My father was Greek so I am writing this letter to object to the mandatory vaccination of all Greek citizens.
The new H1N1 vaccine has not been safety tested yet and it contains mercury which has been banned from childhood vaccinations in the US and UK for safety reasons. According to this nhs document:

the vaccine also contains squalene which has been linked to Gulf War Syndrome, and Octoxynol 10 which is a spermacide and has no place in a vaccination.
Your citizens, including my family members, have a right not to be forced to have a vaccine that hasn't been safety tested and contains known poisonous ingredients. It is a violation of human rights.
This is NOT a pandemic situation, only 800 have died worldwide - more people that that die of regular flu every year in just one country.
In the last swine flu epidemic, only one person died of the disease - yet 25 were killed by the vaccine and several hundred paralysed. Please learn from the mistakes of the US government and allow the citizens in your beautiful country the opportunity to say no if they don't want a vaccine.

WHO Lauches Global Mandatory Vaccination Programme
WHO launches global vaccination program
The World Health Organization has issued a binding ‘recommendation’ to all member countries requiring them to institute mandatory vaccination programs. Under an existing multilateral agreement this formally invokes each state’s pandemic plan and puts coordination under control of WHO. For some European states the pandemic plan includes setting aside government as normal and ruling the country by a special council under control of the EU and WHO. France has already announced that it will effect a move to military rule beginning in September.
The global pandemic vaccination program will begin somewhere around the end of September and last about two months. Many countries are in the process of acquiring from Baxter, Novartis, GlaxoSmithKline and other pharmaceutical companies enough doses of vaccine to vaccinate their entire population twice. They remain quiet about mandatory vaccination, simply saying they will make vaccination ‘available’ to all on a priority basis. But Greece and Switzerland have already announced that their programs will be mandatory and enforced by the military. There are unconfirmed reports that Norway and Israel have done the same. The United States is preparing for military ‘assisted’ mandatory vaccination but has not explicitly declared its intentions to the public.

What You Can Do
DON'T PANIC -THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT THEY WANT. HERE'S WHAT YOU CAN DO TO SAFEGUARD YOUR RIGHT TO CHOOSE.
1. Firstly, stay calm. The vaccination business is run on fear (see swine flu page, recipe for selling flu vaccines, written by the CDC as an example). They want you to feel backed into a corner and as if you don't have any choice.
2. Write a letter of protest to 10 Downing Street about the transferal of vaccine decisions to the JCVI, rather than through normal government processes.
3. Write a letter of protest about mandatory vaccines to your local MP and to the National Assembly for Wales, here:

4. VAN UK will be coordinating with other groups to plan PEACEFUL demonstrations outside parliment. Please come to our first protest - details above.
5. Consider home schooling your child. Proposed mandates appear to be around school entry, and under 16's can be pressured in school to consent to a vaccine in spite of parental objection.
School is not a legal requirement, only education is.
There would be a limit to what the state can do in the case of a home educated child, since he is out of the state system - particularly if he has always been home educated and never gone to school, as then there is no legal requirement to notify the education authority.
6. 9% of parents in England choose not to vaccinate at all, that's 5 children in every 100. Another 15% refuse MMR. That's approximately 20-25% of the population who refuse some or all vaccines. There are far too many parents with this objection for the JCVI to sue, and too many of us willing to fight, for them to be successful.
At the very least, we would be entitled to exemptions like parents get in other countries that mandate, namely philosophical, medical or religious exemptions.
VAN UK will be seeking legal advice in order to assist our clients should the JCVI ever try to sue a parent via a 'guardian of the state'. Watch this space for more information.
The Orphan Project
This is slightly off topic for VAN UK, but still very worthwhile, so I mention it here in case any kind person would like to help.
I (Joanna - founder of VAN UK and owner of this site) am going to Costa Rica in Latin America for 3 weeks in October 2010 to help care for orphan children. I would go for longer but don't want to leave my own children longer than 3 weeks.
These children have no parents and need love and attention from people, so I will be playing with them, helping to organise activities for them to do, helping with the physical therapy of those children who are disabled and doing general chores around the orphanage. I may also be placed in soup kitchens for the poor and homeless, while I am there, but I won't be sure of this until I get there.
All of this is voluntary (they are NOT paying me) and I need to raise money for the flights to Costa Rica and for the Latin American family who will be gracious enough to let me stay in their home.
I will be keeping an online diary and photographs of the orphan project on the site so that anyone who donates can see where their money went.

Another Vaccine Blunder!
Nearly 200 babies and toddlers in Kirkby have been asked to come in and have their vaccinations AGAIN because it was discovered that the vaccines weren't being stored at the correct temperature, which doctors say renders them ineffective. (No mention was made as to the side-effects from this. Doctors say it is not harmful, but they don't say how they know this).
Letters have been sent out to all the parents explaining what has happened and asking them to bring their babies back for 'free jabs'.
What with this and the latest Meningitis C vaccine scandal, I am so glad my children were never part of the national vaccination programme. If they had been, I would have been so furious at the potiential side-effects, neglience from the doctors at not following basic safety protocol, and the trauma of putting my babies through pain and distress for NOTHING, that the LAST thing I would do is take them in for round two!
